With the turf season underway, it seems like a good time to look forward to what we hope will be another succesfull year for John and his team. |
Old Yard, Clear Height Stables is opposite the famous Epsom Racecourse and was originally the Training yard of Ron Smythe, former jump jockey and successful trainer.
From this superb location many a winner has been trained and John Akehurst has continued to send out winners, including Group and Listed winners.
A horse crossing with traffic lights provide safe and direct access to Epsom Downs and a couple of minutes away are the famous Epsom training facilities.
Old Yard, Clear Height Stables provide 40 excellent and well aired stables. The yard is sectioned into 2 yards for colts, fillies and isolation boxes. Horses are able to relax and rest in this serene environment.
